Winter Encaustic Workshop: Color, Composition, & Collage

Join instructors Kelly Milukas and Dietlind Vander Schaaf for a fun and informative deep dive into color, composition, and collage. We’ll discuss values, color relationships, working with opaque and transparent colors, how to improve your paintings by tackling issues related to composition, and working with encaustic and paper both two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally. Demos will focus on building a painting from the ground up and creating smooth, even surfaces. Students will have 1:1 time with each instructor. Morning mindfulness, breath, and body exercises will start each morning, as well as a continental breakfast.
Self-driven, evening open studio hours will be offered.
