BROWN UNIVERSITY SYMPOSIUM

Brown University invited Kelly to participate in their 2015 symposium on how technology and art transform the experiences of people with Parkinson’s Disease and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

What resulted was an interactive “Keys to the Cure” installation where attendees personally inscribed hand-cast keys with messages of hope. The keys were then tied onto glistening fibers that flowed from the ceiling. At the closing reception Kelly discussed how art is a powerful healing ingredient as well and a way to facilitate the stories of how science and technology are rapidly changing clinical outcomes.

Within the symposium’s mix of talks, performances and film screenings, Kelly’s interactive art served as a powerful way to engage.
