Expand your encaustic painting vocabulary whether you are working from life, semi abstractly, or conceptually abstract. We’ll talk in depth about the elements of what makes a successful composition. Look at a cityscape scene and break it down into simple shapes. Understand value and how value is used to express shape. Discover how color relates directly to values and knowledge of value.

Represent other forms in the cityscape as supporting elements to the painting story. Learn how to take simple lines and shapes and use them to create a gorgeous cityscape while also exploring pattern, variety, balance and more! See examples from both contemporary and historic artists who have mastered the city.

This workshop is suitable for Advance Beginners – Very Experienced painters.
